We all know the saying about judging a book by its cover, but it's the cover that drew me in to this book. Who doesn't want to read about a girl who is clearly pretty awesome? Not this girl.The Good:
Claire is a strong, independent woman who tackles everything she meets head on and I love that about her. The author keeps each story moving and throws in pop culture references from perhaps his childhood which made the read a lot of fun for me.
The Bad:
The stories in the book don't really feel as if they tie together. I expected that the stories following the introduction to Claire's mom being missing to have some aspect of that. Instead, they were stand alones which while fun left me feeling a bit disjointed.
The Summary:
If you're looking for a great book for your middle-reader, I can absolutely recommend Claire Mundy. It's fun, full of adventure, and personally, I can't wait to find out what happens next with her, her mother, and the secret society!

Great book!!!
Great young adult story full of adventure. It leaves you wanting more.
Claire Mundy En Route is a real page-turner. Not only does it feature a great protagonist (a strong, intelligent woman with an unquenchable thirst for adventure) and cast of secondary characters, it also introduces a series of mysteries and situations that will spark your imagination and keep you guessing, bringing the traditional adventure stories à la Goonies or Indiana Jones into the 21st century.
Using the disappearance of Claire’s mother as the unifying thread, this book is comprised of three different stories, each of them unique in its own terms. Part One En Route introduces us to the main characters and their dynamics, with Claire following a deadly game of geocaching that could potentially lead her to the mystery surrounding her mother’s disappearance. In Part Two Waypoints, Claire travels to an excavation site in Arizona in search of big shot archeologist, Lucas Smith, who seems to have vanished into thin air. Part Three Adventure, Ho!, the shortest one, shows us Claire cleverly using her environment to her advantage when an adventure presents itself out of nowhere.
Claire Mundy En Route is a fast-paced, riddle-ridden story you won’t be able to put down. Looking forward to reading the second book of the series!

This is an amazingly action packed, mysterious, adventurous and suspensful book. It's an adventure that many can relate to in finding closure. Claire is a loveable protagonist with huge ambition and determination. All around good story! A must read
